VACANCY Ref. HIS3156 MOBILE ENGINEER UK WIDE CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent SALARY: £30,000 CLOSING DATE: 7 th Feb 2025 A vacancy has arisen for a Mobile Engineer to join our team. The role briefly encompasses the following: - To work as a part of the UK Operations team with responsibility within Hargreaves Industrial Services 'Site Support Services' contracts. Typically these contracts can include services such as; Mobile electrical and mechanical maintenance (planned and re-active), statutory inspections, buildings maintenance, grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management, minor civils projects The role will be required to cover activities at various locations in and around the Northern UK territory. The Mobile Engineer will report to the Site Support Manager. Workload will be as directed Site Services Operations Assistant. The Mobile Engineer will have no direct reports. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is essential. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: - You may have experience of the following: Maintenance Technician, Plant Equipment, Electrical Engineer, Multi Skilled, Repairs, Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Engineer, PPM, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Plant Technician, Electrical/Mechanical fault finding and Corrective Maintenance. Holding a Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification - Nationally recognised level of competence. Level 3 or above. Minimum 2 year's industrial/practical experience. Valid UK driving license. Skills in prioritising workload with excellent time management / organisation Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and requirements. Health and safety qualifications (safety passport/IOSHH for example) IPAF license advantageous Have a logical approach to fault finding. Desirable: City and Guilds 2382- 18th Edition course BS2391/2 (or BS2394/5) qualification Must have a high level of determination to complete tasks. Take a high level of interest in tasks assigned, with ownership and accountability for the tasks. The ability to work individually and/or with others. Good time keeping and willing to work additional hours as necessary, with availability for "called out" outside of normal working hours on a Rota basis. Must be aware of and adhere to safe working practices. Ability to work alone using initiative as well as working in a team. Analytical, problem solving and IT skills. Literacy and numerical ability. You will be diagnosing faults and ensuring that effective repair and improvement work take place without supervision and within reasonable timescales. Must be able to work as a team member. Must have a positive attitude to work with others Good manual dexterity is essential. Must be able to schedule and prioritise their daily tasks. The ability to work on own initiative and learn new skills is essential. Must be able to diagnose and solve problems. IT literacy.
