We have a fantastic opportunity for a Reinsurance Structuring Manager to join our supportive and tenacious team. This is a great job for a qualified Actuary with experience of Solvency II or Bulk Purchase Annuities looking to further excel in their career working for the UK’s leading Insurance, Retirement & Wealth business!
A bit about the job:
The role reports into the Head of Structuring & Reinsurance and will focus on working with the team to prepare governance papers on structuring initiatives (counterparty risk management, Funded Re structuring, longevity/Funded Re novations or restructurings), and Funded Re transactions. You will be a key member of the Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) Structuring & Reinsurance team and have accountability (alongside the team).
The role responsibilities are:
1. Working closely with team members to understand the technical aspects of the initiative to prepare governance papers
2. Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure there is a detailed understanding of the proposal, and there are appropriate outcomes across risk, finance and operations
3. Develop solutions with reference to the SS5/24 Funded Re supervisory statement
4. Contributing to the planning of future initiatives to improve the structuring business
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Knowledge of the BPA market, annuity reinsurance or defined benefit pensions
2. Demonstrable track record of implementing projects across governance, stakeholder management, transaction documentation and execution
3. Strong mathematical, actuarial and excel skills
4. Qualified actuary who has gained their experience working within insurance or consultancy
5. Positive attitude and behaviours and an ability to challenge constructively and influence outcomes where appropriate

* National Salary £90,000 - £110,000, London Salary £100,000 - £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
