Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Subsystem Design Integrator to lead the integration of propulsion, electronic, and mechanical subsystems into complex aerospace systems. This role bridges the gap between subsystem design, system-level requirements, and end-to-end integration, ensuring seamless functionality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage the integration of subsystems into overall aerospace platforms, focusing on propulsion and electronic systems.
2. Lead system design activities, ensuring all subsystems are aligned with overarching system requirements and performance goals.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams on configuration management, document control, and design reviews.
4. Perform integration, test, and validation of subsystems using advanced electronic test benches and simulation tools.
5. Ensure compliance with reliability, safety, and security standards throughout the integration lifecycle.
6. Collaborate closely with customer and internal stakeholders for installation, support, and maintenance activities.
7. Utilize tools such as DOORS, Integrity, Simulink, Artisan Studio, and Autocad for system modeling and interface management.
8. Support industrialisation processes to facilitate smooth transition from design to production and operational phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering).
2. Proven experience in subsystem design and integration within the aerospace or defense sector.
3. Technical expertise in aviation propulsion systems, thermal and energetics, and power electronics.
4. Familiarity with microelectronics, semiconductors, and electronic component integration.
5. Strong background in verification and validation of integrated subsystems.
6. Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and engineering lifecycle tools (DOORS, Integrity).
7. Understanding of manufacturing processes, installation constraints, and customer service requirements.
