We are looking for highly motivated and inspirational individual with a passion for supporting learners with specific learning differences, mental health difficulties, or disabilities? South Staffordshire College is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Practitioner to join our dynamic Learning Support department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To work closely with academic teams to help Identify the additional support requirements of our learners through a robust assessment of their needs.
* To provide advice on differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies for learners with additional support needs.
* To promote and support learners to use assistive technology that enables them to work as independently as possible.
* To safeguard and ensure the wellbeing of learners, including taking responsibility for reporting child protection matters.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge and experience of using supportive strategies to enable students with a specific learning difference in Further Education or a similar setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
* Innovative, creative and flexible
