Business and Digital is committed to delivering responsive digital and technical services to all areas of the council and support the development of the council hub model throughout North Lanarkshire.
We have created a new position of Technology Improvement Officer (ICT) to support our Field Services technical support service. This includes developing and supporting the provision of ICT support to schools and wider Field Service provision to all employees of the council. The predominant aspects to the role will require the post holder to provide a support to quality management and improvement, risk and mitigation, process optimisation, training and education, data management and reporting, collaboration and communication while exercising initiative and independence in dealing with a wide range technical problems and issues.
Located in Civic Square, Motherwell, the postholder will be required to organise their workload to meet the objectives of the service and communicate service improvements to staff, who will be familiar with the topic.
The post holder must possess an HNC (or equivalent) in a technology related subject along with extended experience in operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of technology equipment in the context of fulfilling service strategy. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative.
Possession of a Health and Safety qualification is desirable, as is experience with technology in educational environments.
It is also essential that the postholder can travel throughout North Lanarkshire.
Work pattern (Hybrid working):
35 hours per week - Monday to Thursday - 08:45 to 16:45 - Friday - 08:45 to 16:15.
