WAREHOUSE OPERATOR CUMBERNAULD CONTRACT – 6 WEEKS HOURLY RATE- COMPETITIVE DOE Based in Cumbernauld, ESS Recruits client is part a multi-national group, who design, manufacture, build and test of gas analysers and gas emission monitoring systems. Their equipment is found in a range of industrial settings and applications, including petrochem, FMCG and hazardous engineering environments. They now require a Warehouse Operator on a contract basis. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, as a Warehouse Operator you will be responsible for material handling. You will be responsible of the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods. PRINCIPLE As a warehouse operator, you will be responsible for supporting all warehousing tasks passing through the Stores & Pack-out area. You will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met. This role requires an individual who is diligent and has excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate results and observations to the wider team. Responsibilities: Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, forktlift and manual handing equipment Inspection and receipting of incoming materials, Correct storage of materials Creation of non conformance reports for non conforming materials. Creation of work orders for production purposes. Picking material for work orders and sales orders Use of the JD Edwards and SAGE Use of reports to identify work order and sales order material requirements Packing of finished product for shipping Maintaining records in accordance with the Emerson Record Retention policy. Conduct stock checks as required under Emerson guidelines. Purchasing of direct and indirect materials using JD Edwards and Oracle when required. Maintain stores and shipping areas in a clean and orderly state Recycling of scrap metal and disposal of wood items, as required. Handling and storage of gas cylinders For this role, you will need to have some relevant warehouse / stores experience. Experience in gas analysis technology sector is an advantage.
