Finance Assistant/Payroll Location: Birmingham - Hybrid Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Are you an experienced finance or payroll professional with a flair for managing international payroll processes? Key Responsibilities: International Payroll Management - Oversee and coordinate the monthly payroll cycles, ensuring timely and accurate payment for foreign employees and independent contractors. Data Validation - Download and validate payroll data from CSV files, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Process Management - Manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring all starters and leavers are accurately recorded. Vendor Coordination - Collaborate with global payroll providers, ensuring all changes are processed correctly and on time. Compliance and Accuracy - Ensure payroll payments, taxes, and benefits are calculated and reported accurately, maintaining compliance with local regulations. Finance Collaboration - Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payment processing. Reconciliation - Capture payroll data through journal entries and reconcile related balance sheet accounts. Reporting and Invoicing- Review payroll reports for discrepancies, reconcile pay data, and raise client invoices using payroll journals. Performance Monitoring - Analyse gross profit (GP) figures, ensuring margins meet expectations. Skills & Attributes: Proven experience in international payroll management. Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail. Proficiency with payroll systems and data reconciliation. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal departments and external vendors. A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a global, multi-departmental environment.
