Little Treasures Nursery are seeking a dedicated and passionate level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our outstanding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
Manage daily nursery operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment.
Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere that promotes professional growth and shared best practices.
Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents as required by regulatory standards.
Be willing to undertake continual professional development training to enhance your knowledge and skills
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A drive for continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in early years education.
Knowledge of child development principles and the EYFS framework is advantageous.
