Mechanical Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider - Government Contract - Westminster - £48,400 to £50,800
An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in Westminster has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to be based on a government contract in Westminster. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. Due to the sites you will be based on you will be required to go through SC and/or DV clearance.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in mechanical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £50,800, overtime, further training, and a potential route into further career progression.

7 am - 7 pm - Days

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (Minimum)
NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (Desirable)
Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces
Good verbal and written communication is important, including the ability to use a mobile device.
Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.

Monitor mechanical plant
Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
General building fabric
Escort specialist sub contractors

Undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.
Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed.
Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
