We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to manage all communications channels for two key business lines, with a special emphasis on the US and Canadian markets. Our Infrastructure business has a lot of exciting work across the heavy civil and renewables/clean energy sectors, and this role is crucial to help our people and projects tell their stories and increase their impact.
As part of a lean but highly engaged communications team, your role will offer lots of scope for exploration and professional development.
Major Responsibilities:
* Producing external communications packages, including press releases, blogs and social media content
* Managing local and regional press enquiries, and supporting press trips as required
* Writing compelling and engaging stories for our SharePoint site on a regular basis
* Supporting our US based project and business development teams on all communications events, including executive and external visits
* Developing strategies to enhance visibility and support win plans for our US infrastructure work
* Managing and establishing new local communications platforms in partnership with customers
* Partnering with the global Infrastructure Communications and Corporate Affairs teams to publish relevant and timely content for the wider business
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Excellent writing and social media skills
* Ideally, at least three years working in journalism/similar
* Experience of producing communications plans and content for multiple channels, and to deadline
* Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers
* A creative and dynamic approach to problem-solving
* Strong digital skills with experience making films for social media use
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications – particularly PowerPoint, Word and Viva Suite
* Good understanding and/or interest in infrastructure, with particular focus on the US and Canada
