Job Title: Pest Control Technician Salary: £32,761.35 per annum (inclusive of stand by payment) plus Company Vehicle, Pension, Health plan, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) Location: Covering Watford Hours: Monday to Friday- 45 hours per week Standby: 1 in 4 weeks We are advertising this Pest Control Technician role on behalf of our client 'City Facilities Management’. City FM was established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies. Job Purpose: The Pest Control Technician is to provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to our client to control all pest species covered under our contract and, by thorough inspection, identify any environmental conditions conducive to any pest activity whether covered by the contract or not. This requires visiting Stores, Foodhalls, Outlets, Depots & Office sites at agreed intervals governed by the specification service delivery and carrying out a detailed inspection in a safe and professional manner with due regard to Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations. This would involve providing an effective service to our clients site to effectively communicate observations verbally as well as in writing via the reports. Principal Accountabilities: Take "ownership" of all pest related issues, i.e. infestations/ cleaning/ proofing to resolve ongoing problems. Respond promptly to emergency call outs from the Helpdesk. To work in a manner to support the achievement of company KPI delivery. Formulate detailed reports on stores, escalating issues to all relevant stakeholders. To identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Area Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. To prioritise detailed recommendations to stores and to achieve agreed timescales and response times to proactively defend against Pest activity. Skills / Background / Qualifications: Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control (RSHC) or British Pest Control Association (BPCA) diploma’s Part 1 and 2. Experience working?within a commercial pest control environment. Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable. Desirable but not essential: Bird proofing work is desirable. General building/fabrication skills is desirable. The ideal candidate: Multiple years’ experience working within the pest control sector.? Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota every 1:4 weeks. Full driving license. Experience using a PDA system.
