You will also have the opportunity to play an integral role in extracurricular activities and sports events. Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Delivery : Create and deliver dynamic and engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students. Curriculum Delivery : Teach a broad and balanced PE curriculum that includes a variety of sports, fitness activities, and health education. Assessment and Progress Monitoring : Assess student's progress regularly, track performance, and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement and achievement. Classroom Management : Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation and mutual respect among students. Extracurricular Activities : Lead and support school sports teams, clubs, and competitions, contributing to the school's vibrant extracurricular programme. Student Support : Identify and support the needs of individual students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Collaboration : Work closely with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices and resources. Professional Development : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physical education and sports teaching through ongoing professional development. Health and Safety Compliance : Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. What We’re Looking For Qualifications : Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Physical Education or a related subject. Experience : At least 6 months of teaching experience in a UK educational setting. Skills and Attributes : Exceptional knowledge of PE curriculum and sports education. Enthusiastic, approachable, and capable of motivating students to achieve their best. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and inspire students in both classroom and sports settings. Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and excellence.
