Key responsibilities within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for both roles:
The post holder will take part in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology SpR on call rota and provide day time clinical cover.
All duties must be carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure. You must never undertake any duties that are outside your area of skill or knowledge level. If you are unsure, you must seek clarification from a more senior member of staff.
The post holder will also be provided with an Educational Supervisor.
This job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. Such changes will be made after discussion between the post holder and his/her manager.
Person specification
Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Degree in medicine
2. Full GMC registration
3. Part 3 MRCOG or equivalent
4. Advanced Life Support training completed within six months prior to appointment
Desirable criteria
1. Evidence of previous ultrasound scanning experience
2. Certificate in Good Clinical Practice
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Evidence of an interest in Audit
2. Minimum experience equivalent to ST5 -7 level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Ability to work as part of a team
2. Sound knowledge and experience in the management of critically ill patients
Desirable criteria
1. Analytical skills
2. Ability to present at conferences and seminars with authority and coherence
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. Ability to organise and prioritise own work with minimal supervision
