We have exciting opportunities for motivated Field Engineers (Electrical) to join our Technical Communities in the South West of England, contributing to the Hinkley Point C mega-infrastructure project.
The Role
The Field Engineer will oversee Construction Surveillance activities, working closely with the Construction Superintendent to ensure Quality expectations are met under the NEC contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor site works for compliance with the contract and notify non-conformance requests to the Construction Superintendent.
* Submit surveillance information to support non-conformance report issuance.
* Foster effective communication with site teams, ensuring timely reporting of surveillance activities.
* Contribute to Key Performance Indicator tracking through surveillance data.
* Proactively identify potential Quality issues to enable mitigation actions.
* Support temporary measures to maintain site safety and Quality standards, followed by proportionate action to prevent work halts.
* Promote a thorough understanding of current and future site activities within the team.
* E nsure tasks adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of construction drawings, activities, Quality Control Plans, and Inspection Records.
* Verify Quality Inspection Records before covering up works.
* Review Contractor performance against authorised Quality Control Plans.
Requirements
* A minimum HND in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* Experience in large Civil Works installation and erection.
* Post Tensioning and grout injection experience.
