About the role:
As a Pupil Support Worker, you will provide essential support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that enhances their learning and personal development.
Responsibilities of the Pupil Support Worker:
* Providing one-on-one and group support to students, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to facilitate their learning and personal development.
* Collaborating with teachers to implement tailored strategies that address individual student needs and promote positive behaviour.
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging educational activities and resources.
* Monitoring and tracking student progress, reporting on achievements and areas for improvement to teachers and parents.
* Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that encourages students to thrive both academically and socially.
* Supporting students during transitions, breaks, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere by working closely with educators, parents, and other support staff.
Requirements of the Pupil Support Worker:
* Experience working in a primary school or educational setting, with a preference for candidates who have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* A nurturing and patient approach, demonstrating a commitment to fostering student development and well-being.
* The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
* A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure the safety of all students.
