Working in the ASDA procurement team, you will be involved in buying and managing supplier relationships for our £2bn spend for ‘Goods Not for Resale’ products and services across the business this includes Technology/Marketing/Logistics/Property/ Corporate Services/Energy. Our 2-year graduate programme is split into 4 placements where you will have the opportunity to work on Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, Procurement Governance. A degree in a related subject such as Supply Chain is preferred but not essential, an interest in procurement and demonstrating the right behaviours is what’s most important to us. You will need to be suitably located to attend the office in Leeds regularly. Excellent Communication Skills Problem Solving – demonstrable experience in solving problems and ability to provide solutions. Attention to detail, as there will be a requirement to spot opportunities and manage risks in contracts and commercial arrangements. Analytical thinking to evaluate data and provide insights. Time Management/prioritisation to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and have the ability to prioritise. Basic Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) skills preferred but not essential. Right to work within the UK and have been resident in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least the previous three years before the start of the CIMA Apprenticeship (visit: www.Gov.uk for further information).
