Electrical Qualified Supervisor

£45-£50k plus Van and fuel card
General Description
The post holder will be responsible for a team of electrical engineers who carry out electrical testing & inspection (EICRs) and remedial works in social housing / local authority properties. They will ensure the work completed by their team is to specification, compliant with current regulations, and to the standards required by the company. The role will involve working from the company offices in Hertford and mobile working (London & Surrounding Counties). The post holder is required to be a registered NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the company.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Supervision of a team of electrical engineers
2. On-the-job supervision visits to engineers
3. Delivering toolbox talks
4. Carry out electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance works as required
5. Ensure safe working procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
6. Post inspections of work carried out by engineers
7. Reviewing and signing off certification completed by engineers
8. Training and developing engineers
9. Preparing quotations
10. Interpret electrical/site drawings when necessary
11. Communicate with clients, residents, and colleagues
12. Deliver exceptional customer service
13. Adhere to company policy
14. Undertake any training provided by the company
15. Support any business change for the benefit of the company
16. Any ad-hoc duties as reasonably instructed by your line manager or directors
Required Skills & Experience
1. Good knowledge of the electrical industry & current regulations
2. Extensive knowledge of the testing and inspection procedure
3. Electrical installation experience
4. Experience of fault finding on electrical systems
5. Experience in the completion of electrical certification
6. Experience reviewing electrical reports/certification
7. Supervision experience
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Good IT skills
10. Administrative skills
11. Positive attitude and timekeeping
Qualifications
1. City and Guilds NVQ level 3 electrotechnical qualification or equivalent
2. AM2 practical assessment preferred
3. Completed apprenticeship preferred
4. City and Guilds 2391-51 or equivalent
5. City and Guilds 2382-18 - BSth Edition update
6. Asbestos Awareness
You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 months.

Travel and Hours
In order to perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments. You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour's unpaid break, with core hours being 8:00am to 5:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours, you may also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include unsociable hours such as evenings and weekends.

You will report to the Contracts Manager.
