Post: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Kenton School, Drayton Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE3 3RU
Grade N3: £23,114 – £23,500 pa, Actual Salary Range: £17,433 to £17,724 pa
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days to be worked during school closure as directed by the school

We are seeking applications to join our Learning Support team to play a vital role within our Academy. This position requires strong coordination skills, a passion for supporting student development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality interventions.
Responsibilities:
* Support student development and learning in collaboration with educators.
* Deliver high-quality interventions for students.
* Coordinate with the Learning Support team to enhance educational outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in SEND or similar educational programs.
* Strong organizational and coordination skills.
* Previous experience working with children and/or young people, preferably within an education setting.
* Minimum of a level 2 qualification (grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics).
* Experience with children with special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health issues is advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.
This role can also be offered as an apprenticeship opportunity with successful applicants studying towards a recognized Teaching Assistant qualification.
