About the Role As Head of Quality and Curriculum, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the curriculum is inclusive, engaging and tailored to the needs of our learners. You’ll lead the development, implementation and ongoing review of curriculum content and quality assurance systems, and play a vital role in strategic planning and staff development. Your work will help create a high-performing, learner-focused culture that enables individuals to achieve their full potential—while also ensuring full compliance with educational standards, accreditation requirements and inspection readiness. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the design, enhancement and implementation of a high-quality, inclusive curriculum. Drive a culture of continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment. Develop and oversee quality assurance systems, processes and reporting, including SARs, QIPs, and audits. Ensure readiness for inspections and compliance with frameworks such as Matrix and Awarding Organisation standards. Analyse data and feedback to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Establish CPD frameworks and lead on staff capability development. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including Awarding Organisations. Embed a culture of high performance, accountability, and innovation across the education workforce. What We’re Looking For Essential: TQFE or equivalent teaching qualification. Extensive senior leadership experience in education quality and curriculum development. Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to use data to drive decisions. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage complex projects. Experience of working with external regulators, auditors, and stakeholders. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Desirable: Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications (SVQ units). Qualifications in Quality Management or related disciplines. Experience in prison education or alternative education settings.
