The Education Safeguarding Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students within educational environments. This job is an opportunity to contribute to the protection of children and young people by actively monitoring and improving safeguarding practices across schools and educational institutions. Team members will engage in collaborative partnerships with educators, parents, and community leaders to create robust safeguarding policies and implement effective strategies. Furthermore, the Education Safeguarding Team will provide training and resources to school staff, supporting them in recognizing and responding to risks and concerns. Responsibilities
Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures in educational settings.
Conduct regular training sessions for school staff on safeguarding best practices.
Monitor and review the effectiveness of safeguarding measures and recommend improvements.
Act as a point of contact for any safeguarding concerns raised by staff, students, or parents.
Collaborate with local authorities and other agencies to coordinate safeguarding efforts.
Gather and analyze data related to safeguarding incidents and trends to inform policy adjustments.
Support schools in developing their capacity to respond to safeguarding issues promptly and effectively.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Proven experience working in safeguarding within an educational context.
Strong understanding of child protection laws and safeguarding frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.05
Location: Cardiff, Cardiff County
