A day in the life of…
As Bar and Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Bar team, as well as overseeing any events within the hotel. You will maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction whilst creating a working environment that supports our values.
Responsibilities include:
* Train, supervise, and develop the team to meet brand standards, ensuring consistent service quality and performance reviews.
* Oversee smooth daily operations, including preparation, service, and post-service clear down.
* Ensure health and safety compliance through training and regular updates on policies.
* Collaborate with kitchen and other outlets, managing bar operations and supporting events.
* Maintain excellent guest experiences by anticipating needs and encouraging upselling to enhance their visit.
Based in The View Hotel, Eastbourne you will be part of a small (but mighty!) team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.

What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Personal Licence, WSET, or formal training qualifications. You will also have a minimum of 2+ years in a managerial role within F&B/Hotel industry and hands-on team leadership, stock management, and KPI tracking experience.
You should also be able to display the following skills:
* Strong IT skills for operational systems
* Team player with a positive approach
* Detail-oriented while seeing the bigger picture
* Proven ability to maintain standards, meet deadlines, and lead a team
* Experience in seasonal menu development and pricing, and managing reservation systems
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Basic knowledge of Opera, XN GO, Fourth, cocktail mixology, food/drink pairing, Procure Wizard, and Fork systems
* HR policies, employment law, and health and safety experience
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills
