An opening for a self-motivated, caring and adaptable registered nurse is now available with our Patient Flow/Discharge Support Team. The Discharge Lounge has been re-established within Raigmore and welcomes patients from all areas of the hospital who have reached the end of their inpatient care. The role of Discharge Lounge Nurse is evolving, and our ideal candidate will have first-rate communication skills, work well autonomously and be able to build good working relationships. You must be responsive to the demands of an ever changing environment, have exemplary organisational skills and be committed to achieving the safe and timely discharge of our patients. As part of the team, the post holder will be required to adapt and respond to where the demand for support is greatest, meaning they may be required to work flexibly across the service. The collection point opens between 08:30 and 18:30, aiming to cover 5-7 days a week. Part time hours would be considered. This is a rarely available opportunity to join our team working in a modern acute hospital based in the capital of the Highlands of Scotland, which affords a high standard of living with easy access to stunning surroundings on your doorstep, and good travel links from Inverness to other parts of the UK. We would welcome all enquiries from nurses who are interested in progressing their careers into Patient Flow, Discharge Support or who are looking for a new challenge in 2024.
