We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to the role of paediatric manager for our inpatient area, community, outpatients, and child development centre.
The paediatric manager will play an essential role in the patient's journey.
The post holder will work in partnership with the Clinical Leads and deputies on the children's ward, community outpatients, and child development centre to ensure that high standards of nursing care are provided at all times.

The post holder will be a full-time band 7 supervisory manager working Monday to Friday but may occasionally need to work clinically when the service dictates.
Main Duties of the Job
As an experienced Children's Nurse, the post holder will manage a team of Nurses and Advanced Health Care Assistants. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful day-to-day running of the ward, community, outpatients, and child development centre.
The post holder will act as a role model, promoting quality evidence-based practice, developing the Nursing Teams by providing education, best practice guidance, and support, and ensuring effective management of the patient.
Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered Sick Children's Nurse/RN(Child) currently validated on the NMC register
* Masters or First Level degree (HEI 6) or significant demonstrable experience in nursing practice.
* Relevant specialist post-basic education e.g., A&E Course, Leadership Course/diploma preferably at degree level
* Advanced Paediatric Life Support provider
* Evidence of postgraduate academic study
Occupational Experience and Abilities
* Extensive demonstrable experience at a senior level in a paediatric environment
* Evidence of problem-solving, decision-making, and implementing change
* Experience and the ability to manage clinical risk and healthcare governance
* Evidence of commitment to personal development

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum pro rata.
