An exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist within our Breast Team has arisen. Main duties will be to provide professional specialist leadership and effective management of resources ensuring high standards of Nursing care are delivered to all breast patients. Supporting patients from breast screening and symptomatic diagnosis through to potential breast cancer diagnosis. Utilising specialist knowledge and skills within the multi-disciplinary management team caring for patients with breast disease, both benign and malignant.

Job responsibilities
* To be an active Breast Care Nursing team member willing to develop new skills. To participate in providing high-quality specialist Nursing care to patients with breast disease throughout the patient pathway and entire disease trajectory.
* To work autonomously using expert clinical judgement and knowledge to provide informational and psychological care to patients and their families in conjunction with the multidisciplinary teams in acute care Primary Care and Tertiary care providers.
* To assist with all aspects of breast care provision in association with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* To act as a Nursing resource and provide clinical leadership and expertise as a Specialist Nurse concerning breast cancer and function at an expert level.
* To take responsibility for own evidence-based practice and to ensure awareness of current research to support and underpin specialist advice.
* To develop all staff within the multidisciplinary team, providing support, advice and formal and informal education.
* Perform their clinical duties confidently and competently, consolidating and further developing their clinical skills.
* Demonstrate ability to multi-task.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
