The Role:
Are you passionate about art, intrigued by technology, and skilled in organization? As an Art Production Manager at Red Rover Interactive, you'll play a crucial role in managing both internal art teams, and the outsourcing of art assets, ensuring top-notch quality and timely delivery. Additionally, you will:
* Work closely with the Art Director to ensure that internal and external art teams deliver assets that meet our quality standards.
* Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time.
* Collaborate with product managers, game designers, artists, developers, and other specialists to ensure seamless integration of outsourced art into the game.
* Monitor and streamline production workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Facilitate the process by which in-house artists provide asset briefs and feedback to outsourcers, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained and the workflow remains efficient.
* Foster a collaborative and motivated atmosphere within the team and with external partners, resolving any issues promptly and amicably.
* Oversee external contractors and service providers, managing budgets, quality, and timeliness of their work.
* Support the Art Director in personnel management of our inhouse art team.
We are looking for someone who:
* Working knowledge of at least one game art discipline (e.g., 3D modelling, animation, UI) with a solid understanding of all game art disciplines.
* Ability to provide constructive feedback on art processes.
* Ability to accept feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
* Strong project management and leadership abilities.
* Pragmatic and autonomous approach to identifying and solving problems.
* Recognize areas for improvement and adapt workflows within an agile environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to different situations and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in tools used for project management and tracking.
* Meticulous attention to detail at all stages of production.
In addition, we expect you to have:
* 2+ years of experience in art production or a similar role, within the video games industry.
* A degree within a related field is preferred.
