I am an 18-year-old female who is looking for a same sex personal assistant to join my existing care team.
Living with Autism, ADHD, and mental health complexities has been restricting throughout my childhood and as I transition to adulthood, I would like to gain confidence and independence from Mum to access the community, try new things, make new friends, and meet personal goals with the support of a trusted PA.
The role would be ideally suited to someone starting or looking to progress/diversify their career.
The role is initially for 3 hours per week, (Thursdays) with the intention of increasing hours once a relationship is established.
Duties include:
Transportation
Companionship
Encourage and assist preparing lunches and snacks
To assist with building confidence and independence away from Mum.
Encourage and participate in community activities; i.e., shopping, physical exercise, bowling, mini golf, cinema,peer group activities, etc.
Accompany/transport to educational placements and appointments.
Candidate qualities:

The ideal candidate would be:
Dog lover
Experience / knowledge / awareness of Autism / Mental Health / ADHD or experience of working with similar
Approachable, non-judgemental, sensitive with approach and empathic
Willing to support and join in with activities
Work with the current MDT and undergo further training to support role where applicable
Strong active listening skills
Approachable, non-judgemental, patient, possess excellent interpersonal skills, sensitivity, and empathy
Youthful outlook, honest, fun loving, and cheerful
Willing to undergo further training to support role
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
