McPhillips (Wellington) Limited was founded by Jim McPhillips in 1963 and became a limited company in December 1964. The company has enjoyed sustained growth over the years and currently employs over 280 people providing award-winning civil engineering and building solutions throughout the Midlands, North West England, and Wales.
We are currently looking to recruit a Site Agent to join our team, based on-site in Telford or Sandwell (West Brom or Wednesbury).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY
As Site Agent, you will have worked in a similar industry and will have experience of working on civil engineering & infrastructure projects. Specific responsibilities for this role will include:
* Complying with all HSQE systems and implementing on site.
* Managing and measuring on-site productivity and performance.
* Ensuring that work activities are carried out efficiently to specification and agreed programme.
* Managing procurement and performance of sub-contractors.
* Maintaining and developing customer relationships and delivering and measuring Customer Satisfaction.
* Optimising targeted financial contribution for the scheme.
* Managing and developing team members' individual performance, identifying strengths and weaknesses to contribute to the succession planning of the business.
* Promoting and leading the site safety culture, ensuring that all works are carried out in a planned, controlled, and safe manner, in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards, and the Company SHEQ standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have an extensive Civil Engineering background with experience in Highways/Road Construction projects, as well as exposure to Drainage and Earthworks within their previous roles.

* Keen to become a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
* Willing to reward others when required.
Education/Certification Requirements:
* Preferably a further education qualification e.g. Degree or HND/HNC (ideally related to Civil Engineering).
* SMSTS.
* First Aid at work (desirable).
