Account Manager Responsibilities Client Management • Researches and monitor clients’ business and industries to stay up to date on trends,developments and breaking issues, and, in concert with senior managers, counsel client accordingly • Develops and cultivates positive relationships with allocated clients, and their stakeholders/influencers such as media, third party constituencies, and current and prospective customers to convey key messages • Participates in discussions with clients to understand PR, social and experiential briefs, as well as broader briefs involving other members of the Havas Village, assisting the client to develop these when required • Prepares background materials and research for client brainstorms • Makes a positive contribution in brainstorms • Prepare basic communications strategies and programs for clients and make a solid contribution to more complex ones • Effectively present strategies and programs to clients • Working with senior managers, prepare and regularly review and update detailed project/program plans including working timetables of activity to ensure successful implementation and achievement of KPIs • Continually review programs to ensure all deliverables are met and suggest new initiatives to reach goals as required • Ensure timely, accurate and insightful reporting to and correspondence with clients including professionally written agendas, meeting reports, weekly updates and monthly activity reports • Autonomously manage small- to medium-sized accounts in consultation with senior manager/s Media and Influencer Relations • Ensures accurate, relevant media distribution lists are developed and kept up to date • Develops and cultivates a wide range of relationships across mainstream and specialist media relevant to client base • Cultivates strong relationships with social influencers relevant to client base • Develops high quality key messages, media releases, Q&As, prepared remarks, stand-by statements and other materials, including research, writing, editing, collating and distributing through relevant news and social media channels • Works with targeted media and influencers on story/content development • Ensures media are proactively followed up to achieve agreed KPIs, cultivating a positive client presence • Respond to and follow up media enquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner • Organises, implements and oversees media and influencer events including conferences, briefings, tours and activations • Proactively troubleshoots client issues that may arise, alert senior team members and propose solutions/actions • Works with senior managers, develop materials on more complex issues • Proactively troubleshoots client and implementation issues that may and Social • Has a sound understanding of current digital channels and social media as marketing tools • Works with the social and content divisions to develop best-in-class social and digital strategies for clients • Assists juniors to develop high quality content calendars and ensure posts are timely, targeted, accurate and in keeping with the strategy • Works with social and content divisions on paid campaigns to boost posts and build communities • Ensures comments are responded to appropriately and in line with Red Social guidelines and standards • Ensure a client, industry and competitor social media activity is monitored and reported on in a timely and accurate way Event Management • Plans and implements events including research, venue, catering, talent selection and management, theming and decoration, speaker briefs and speech-writing, working with sister agencies as required • Provides quality control, issues management and hands on support at the event, and professionally interact with clients, stakeholders and guests Planning and Strategy • Supports senior managers on new business pitches, tenders and proposals including research, brainstorming, drafting case studies, developing media targets and story angles • Presents confidently at pitch meetings and tissue sessions as required • Prepares basic communications strategies and programs for clients and make a solid contribution to more complex ones • Manages and coordinates assigned junior account teams ensuring effective and efficient deployment of resources, and high-quality work that meets clients’ objectives in a manner that provides value for money and account profitability, flagging any issues with senior managers. • Ensures timesheets are completed accurately and in detail each day • Manages allocated budgets with no over-runs without prior client approval, including following all Havas Red and client financial processes including raising and processing purchase orders New Business • Supports senior managers on new business pitches, tenders and proposals including research, brainstorming, drafting case studies, developing media targets and story angles • Presents
