As a Motion Graphic Designer and Video Editor, you will work within the Creative Video team in a pre and post-production capacity. You will handle a variety of projects, including organizing footage shot by the video team, editing corporate and commercial videos in Adobe Premiere Pro, and utilizing Adobe After Effects to integrate motion graphics and typography, creating stylish and groundbreaking content. You will also create animations using vectors and produce social assets.
You will be an integral part of the video team, taking the lead from the video producers and Lead Motion Designer to create outstanding content.
You must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work quickly under pressure, without compromising on attention to detail. You will strive to produce the highest standard of work to represent a well-rounded and talented creative team, eager to learn, develop, and flourish within your role.
Job Responsibilities
* Design and create cutting-edge motion graphics and videos for a variety of platforms and purposes.
* Edit and assemble footage into polished video content that meets clients' specified needs using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
* Create storyboards and develop ideas for scenes and scenarios for shoots.
* Communicate with the video team on shots required for an edit.
* Create original templates for campaigns using Adobe After Effects.
* Select relevant stock footage that fits the script and brief.
* Ensure the smooth running of assigned large campaign rollouts.
* Produce social assets using Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
* Select relevant soundtracks for videos and animations.
* Ensure videos are complete with purchased stock when downloads are enabled.
* Work on amendments to videos and animations.
* Ingest and organize footage shot by the video team.
* Follow the creative lead from the Lead Motion Designer and the video producers.
* Ensure output is always of the best possible quality.
* Communicate with the team and client services on the brief and ensure all details are completed.
* Manage the video servers and organize files across the studio.
* Collaborate with the client services team to ensure project briefs and allocated hours run within budget.
* Ensure effective file and document management on both the video server and studio server.
* Have up-to-date knowledge of existing filmed footage and stock footage to reuse where appropriate.
* Support the Head of Video with any requests outlined.
* Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
Person Specification
* A degree in Film, Video, Animation, or Digital Design.
* Previous commercial/corporate editing experience and a portfolio/showreel.
* Previous agency experience is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
* Solid understanding of graphic design, typography, and animation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Skilled at prioritizing and managing time across multiple projects.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* A genuine passion for film and video editing.
