Samsung’s Omni Channel Marketing team is committed to activating the best execution for all MX products (mobile, tablet, wearables, audio, computing and accessories). This role defines and controls what consumers “see”, “feel” and “hear” about Samsung MX product & services within our Channel partners. The team is responsible for leading the channel partner marketing relationships and end to end execution across all owned and paid touchpoints. Over 14 B2C accounts across Operators, MVNO’s Retailers, Distributors and Sim Free Pure Player channels encompassing paid ATL, retail high street, below the line retention initiatives and Contact Centre share of business. Our channel partner’s success in ranging, promoting and launching our MX portfolio is at the heart of what we do. By ensuring we commercialise our marketing, deliver execution leadership and drive innovation, we continue to defend our stronghold in the UK market. Role and Responsibilities Your Key Responsibilities: Working with the channel account team (Account Director and Account Manager) to plan and complete multiple product launches Completing quarterly promotional plans ensuring a high share of voice is achieved, through various touch points of the channel customer journey (TTL) Deliver brand, commercial and channel objectives (with specific focus on sell out) with our agencies and channel partners Collaboration on special projects and joint business plan initiatives, in conjunction with channels to drive longer term growth of SEUK channel performance Responsible for budgeting and handling spend within channels, as well as effective management of marketing accruals, which are associated with channel commercial terms contracts Digital excellence using our Samsung Digital Blueprint, ensuring channels adhere to blueprint standards, and we continually evolve how we implement brilliant basics in digital touchpoints (including ongoing reporting and optimisation) Responsible for ensuring internal marketing processes are being followed, prior to contributing any spend Timely delivery of reports including quarterly marketing plans, execution compliance & budget reviews & analysis Analysing post-launch/campaign results ensuring findings & recommendations are crafting future activities Tracking of competitor activities to ensure Samsung maintain strong SOV, execution leadership & outstanding points of difference across our channels Organise and attend weekly/monthly/quarterly marketing planning meetings with the channel partners where appropriate. Your key people management responsibilities Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction. Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities. Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety. Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates. Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members. Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner. Maintain compliance, meet deadlines, and align your team with what we value. What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Marketing background, ideally with a vendor in the same role or marketing role within a retailer/network operator/agency Man management experience and strong leadership Be able to demonstrate experience across the marketing mix – ATL& BTL Strong Powerpoint and Excel skills Commercial ability to produce marketing plans, cases and return on investment on marketing spend Familiar with handling significant marketing budgets What does success look like?
