Have you ever considered the possibility of becoming a Foster Carer, offering vital support to children in need of a safe and stable home, whether for a brief period or a more extended stay?
No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Foster Carers come from diverse backgrounds: some have existing families, others are single, some work full-time or part-time, while some may be currently unemployed. However, they all share a common goal: providing a secure, nurturing, temporary home for children who, unfortunately, cannot reside with their own families.
Your sexuality, cultural background, marital status, or ethnicity does not hinder your eligibility. Everyone is encouraged to apply and make a difference as a Foster Carer.
Requirements
1. Space in your home. You do not necessarily need a spare room as you could look after babies, providing you can fit a crib in your bedroom. However, having a spare room will give you more flexibility to look after toddlers and older children.
2. You need to be at least 21 years of age.
3. Live within the London / M25 region.
Benefits
1. Up to £28,000 pro rata per child.
2. No council tax bill for Camden residents.
3. Up to 66% of council tax paid if you live outside of the borough of Camden.
4. Generous fees and allowances throughout the year.
5. Retention payments for 2, 5, 10, 15 & 20 years.
6. Free borough wide parking in pay & display and residents bays.
7. Free RING Door Bell.
8. Paid membership for Blue Light Card.
9. A £900 thank you paid if you refer a friend or family member and they are successfully approved as a foster carer.
