CAMHS East Lothian outpatient team is a tier 3 service providing assessment and clinical interventions for young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. The postholder will work as part of a skilled and collaborative multi-disciplinary team and manage a caseload of young people delivering core interventions using a range of mental health skills for behavioural, cognitive, dynamic and systemic interventions depending on level of training and experience.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a mental health service with young people and their families/carers. Additional training and experience in specific therapies such as CBT or FBT would be an advantage.
East Lothian CAMHS is based in Musselburgh in a large and modern centrally located building close to local amenities and transport links. The team of about 30 staff are friendly and supportive.
The post is for 30 hours and there is some flexibility over how these hours are worked whilst ensuring the postholder’s availability for weekly core tasks such as Choice, duty and small case discussion.
