You can come from: Marine Engine Field Service Engineers looking for a new job, Seagoing Engineers (3rd, 2nd, Sole, and Chief Engineers) looking for land-based work, Power Station Engineers working on generators, Shipyard Engineers looking for a new challenge, or Workshop Engineers with experience of engine overhauls.
This position (Full OEM Training is provided as part of the role) will see you being responsible for installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, overhaul, or troubleshooting of 2 or 4 stroke marine, traction, and power generation engines.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
1. Assist and/or be responsible for work tasks covering installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, overhaul or troubleshooting.
2. Be able to carry out maintenance and repair of 2 and 4 stroke engines and associated systems.
3. Support customers with and implement the field maintenance procedures on the engines.
4. Carry out performance tests, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis.
5. Work with engine automation and mechanical systems providing support to customers within guidelines set out by the company.
6. Implement tasks as part of the maintenance of engines.
7. On-site customer operational support in all stages of the project.
8. Support the implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.
9. Identify any spare part requirements for maintenance.
10. Detailed report writing.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Field Service Engineer:
1. Full Driving Licence.
2. Passport.
3. Experience in Maritime, Traction, or Power Generation on 2 / 4 Stroke Engines.
