Role:
Supporting the Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Director as part of the team responsible for managing individual bids from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the commercial production of bid preparation, with responsibility for product selection.
2. Collaborate with Business Development Manager, Account Manager, and Bid Manager to create competitive proposals.
3. Provide valuable insights for Business Development Managers/Account Managers in bid strategy development from specific research into customer hotspots, challenges, and future plans.
4. Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs, specifically in new innovations in technology and category development.
5. Contribute to the ongoing development of Bid Library content.
6. Maintain company information on the Central Data Management System.
7. Manage and liaise with the Sales team on progress monitoring of Bid Tracker.
8. Analyze results of bids/quotes to prepare a summary and update an intelligence database on competitor pricing and strategies.
9. Source products for bids/quotes not in the Viking product range.
10. Collaborate with the Procurement team to forecast price fluctuations, general increases/decreases, and build into the bid pricing model.
11. Produce Top 100 product list, updating and communicating any changes.
Skills needed:
1. An analytical, methodical, and well-organized individual, able to multi-task and work under pressure to deadlines.
2. Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
3. Project management experience is ideal.
4. Customer-friendly attitude.
