Job Title: Compliance and Onboarding Assistant
Reports to: Compliance Officer
Hours of Work: 40 per week
Location: Hereford
Salary: £24,000.00
The compliance and onboarding assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Management Team with the onboarding and compliance function within the organisation. This position involves various administrative and operational tasks to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Compliance and onboarding assistant will assist in maintaining compliance records, facilitating compliance-related activities across the organisation and the onboarding of clients.
General tasks contain but are not limited to:
1. Administrative Support:
o Assist in maintaining compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and records of training and certifications.
o Review the files as per the schedule of work/processes.
o Organise and maintain electronic filing systems for compliance-related documents.
o Verify client onboarding processes and procedures in line with compliance policies and industry regulations.
2. Monitoring and Reporting:
o Assist in monitoring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
o Help generate reports and analysis on compliance metrics and key performance indicators.
3. Research and Analysis:
o Conduct research on regulatory requirements and industry best practices to support compliance initiatives.
o Assist in analysing the impact of new laws and regulations on the organisation's operations.
o Summarise findings and present recommendations to SMT as required.
4. Recordkeeping and Documentation:
o Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records and databases.
o Ensure that all compliance-related documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.
o Support the preparation of documentation for internal audits and regulatory inspections.
5. Communication and Coordination:
o Collaborate with all departments to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
o Assist in developing and implementing streamlined processes to improve the efficiency of onboarding and compliance verification for clients.
o Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to legal compliance and onboarding requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a similar administrative or compliance support role is preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to the organization’s industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, etc.).
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
