This is a hybrid position; however, the successful candidate will be required, on occasions, to travel to a number of regional offices located throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon & Cornwall, and London.
Ideally, you will have CIPD Level 3 certification, a good knowledge of employment law, and some experience working within an HR function, such as an Administrator or an Officer, and now looking for that next step in your career.
As a People Advisor, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a fluctuating workload and conflicting priorities. You will work autonomously, managing your own case-load and case work, effectively managing your priorities to meet the needs of the business. You will be confident in escalating cases where appropriate and will be willing and eager to grow your expertise through coaching from our ER Partners.
Responsibilities:
1. Be the first point of contact for routine ER related enquiries, from either internal customers or external companies/suppliers; responding to requests and allocating cases as appropriate.
2. Where required (and under relevant supervision) provide relevant support to the wider People team, which might include covering/or assisting short term for coordinators within other People teams or hubs.
3. Responsible for the efficient and accurate updating of databases and records, such as the case management system.
4. Ensure the accurate and timely filing and maintenance of electronic personal files within SharePoint, to ensure confidentiality and using GDPR retention guidelines.
5. Administer and maintain the HRIS and case management system, in line with relevant legislative, procedural, and GDPR requirements.
6. Where required, support at formal meetings and provide note-taking support.
7. Ensure expenditure under relevant budgets is tracked and liaise with relevant business areas to ensure related POs and invoices are raised and paid on time.
8. Facilitate the process of flexible working and family-friendly leave requests seeking advice and support from ER Partners as required.
9. Facilitate and support the transactional processes required to changes of terms and conditions, within the relevant business area.
10. To navigate our varied People service options behind the scenes by appropriately triaging enquiries efficiently and effectively to ensure customers perceive a seamless experience.
Skills and Experience:
1. Educated to GCSE Standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths.
2. CIPD Level 3 preferred with knowledge and understanding of HR administration and HR technology.
3. Experience of working within an HR team within a specialist or generalist service model.
4. Basic understanding of GDPR and experienced in the management of HR systems, including case management and digital filing systems.
5. Previous relevant experience working in a generalist HR Advisor/Officer/Administrator role.
6. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
7. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
8. Previous experience in the Housing related sector preferred but not necessary.
9. Experience with HR Information Systems (i.e., iTrent or Dynamics HR), SharePoint, and Service Now is preferred.
