As per HCPC / NMC guidelines the successful applicant must work 2 weeks of day shifts per year. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to patients in the perioperative environment. Takes charge of theatre as delegated by the Senior Team Leader for a specified period of time. Acts as leader, delegating tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by more junior qualified theatre staff, support theatre staff and students within the perioperative teams. Assists the Senior Team Leader and Professional Development Team (theatre) in the management of preceptorship of newly qualified staff, return to practice staff and the mentorship of nursing /ODP students and health care support workers.
