Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Expeditor to join our team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry with a minimum of two years experience in an expediting role. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Dynamics or similar systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments and to/from vendors according to production and shipping schedules.
2. Review and maintain purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
3. Track and report on the status of all orders, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
4. Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may affect the production schedule.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to improve delivery performance and resolve any potential delays.
6. Utilise Microsoft Dynamics to manage and track purchase orders, inventory, and production schedules.
7. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed and excess inventory is minimised.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in an expediting role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
3. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
5. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Education: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
