Job Title: Lecturer/Assessor British Sign Language

We are seeking a Lecturer/Assessor to provide exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment in British Sign Language. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring successful outcomes for students, enabling them to progress to their chosen paths.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of courses.
2. Implement feedback and assessment systems to monitor and support learner progress.
3. Contribute to curriculum innovation and development initiatives.
4. Maintain a positive learning environment while adhering to the College’s behaviour management policies.
5. Update and enhance your teaching expertise to continuously improve student outcomes.
6. Create and deliver inspiring curriculum content, including documentation and lesson plans.
7. Develop and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to promote skill development.
8. Facilitate practical activities and workshops, supporting learners in real-world environments.
9. Utilise technology and resources to promote independent learning.
10. Ensure accurate record-keeping for assessments, progress, and attendance.
Minimum Requirements
* Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification
* Possess Level 3 in British Sign Language
* Experience teaching adult learners in British Sign Language across Award and Level 1
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
* Ability to provide clear, direct and constructive written and verbal feedback
* Ability to support adult learners to build their confidence with sign language
