Hourly Shift Leader Duties
1. Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance.
2. Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food supplies as needed.
3. Arrange to have shifts covered (e.g., when employees take time off).
4. Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges.
5. Track and impact daily costs and revenues, including labor, food cost, guest satisfaction, and sales.
6. Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
7. Coordinate with suppliers as they deliver food product orders.
8. Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints.
9. Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift).
10. Inform the next Shift Leader about pending tasks.
11. Report maintenance and training needs.
12. Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
13. Other duties as requested by management.
