Job Summary: To provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to both patients and other visitors, in person or via the telephone. To ensure all reception duties are undertaken efficiently and promptly. Job Responsibilities: To have a knowledge and understanding of Practice policies and procedures. To work in accordance to written protocols surrounding the reception team. Filing post in medical records Photocopying as requested Dealing with patients and visitors both face-to-face and via the telephone To be able to cover all receptions positions as necessary Handling completed repeat prescriptions and processing requests where required Processing appointments requests for patients by telephone and in person Deal with home visit requests Summarising Scanning and coding of letters
