Store person/ General Operative
Duties and responsibilities of the Store person/ General Operative
* Receive, check and sign for all deliveries made to site
* Take deliveries and manage the loading dock and store rooms
* Unload & load lorries/vans
* Check deliveries against delivery notes and for quality, quantities & damage or missing items
* Checking stock levels regularly
* Completing the required paperwork when booking in & Keeping paperwork up to date
* Updating stock information on the computer system
* Comparing items received against items ordered
* Implementing or improving processes and procedures
* Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
* Performing random checks and audits
* Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
* Able to work well as part of a team
* Ability to work accurately and methodically
* Flexible approach to duties and tasks
* Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
* Facilitating the flow of materials between various parties and departments
* Streamlining interdepartmental communication
* Working with site managers to collect relevant information about job status
* General packing requirements ensuring preservation of products
