Blueprint Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer to work for a key client of ours in Berkshire. Our client is an engineering consultancy who focus on delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions across a wide range of sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in both highways and drainage to join our client's dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Design, assess, and deliver highway and drainage projects from concept to completion. Use design engineering software's such as Microdrainage, Infodrainage, Civil3D and Causeway Flow Provide technical expertise and leadership in highway design, drainage systems, and flood risk assessments. Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for both highway and drainage infrastructure. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and environmental standards. Conduct site assessments and manage the delivery of projects in compliance with regulations and best practices. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated engineering solutions. Assist in preparing technical reports, tender documents, and presentations for clients. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in the design and delivery of highways and drainage projects. Strong working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, Infodrainage). Experience in road design, stormwater management, flood risk assessments, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). Excellent understanding of local and national design codes, standards, and regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Desirable Skills: Chartered status or working towards Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution (e.g., ICE). Experience with project management and client-facing responsibilities. Knowledge of BIM and 3D design technologies. ADZN1_UKTJ
