It’s an exciting time to join the Motor Engineering team here at AXA, as an Engineering Technical Assistant. Our specialist Motor Engineering team provides technical expertise to our Motor Claims departments, customers, suppliers and brokers. To drive our team forward, we are looking for an individual who is looking to gain valuable skills through our dedicated training programme to enhance their career.
Working in the Motor Engineering Team, as an Engineering Technical Assistant you’ll be responsible for managing and controlling the damage spend within the Engineering unit, in relation to ongoing motor claims.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Valuing and providing the settlement of total loss claims on stolen unrecovered vehicles.
2. You’ll be instrumental in supporting our customers with Motor Technical queries during the claims process for both internal and external customers.
3. Ensuring all claims are managed within specific service standards and ensuring claims are adequately reserved and settled fairly.
4. During the assessment of vehicle damage claims, you’ll be using a variety of sources such as written reports, data, assessments from computerised estimating systems and digital images.
Your Profile
What we’re looking for:
5. Motor industry experience gained in a vehicle service or repair workshop environment, or a motor vehicle claims environment within the Insurance Industry would be a bonus.
6. Knowledge of UK motor and vehicle repair industries, motor vehicle construction, repair techniques and repair cost calculations would be desirable but not essential.
7. Ability to use Audatex damage assessment system and CAP Valuation software would be desirable.
8. Developed communication and organisational skills.
9. You’ll be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
