Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Welder & Shop Technician to join our growing Manufacturing team. This role is based out of our manufacturing plant in York, PA and reports to the Operations leadership. Candidates for this role must be self-starters and willing to work overtime (long days and/or weekends) as necessary. Previous electrical, crane fabrication, and maintenance/mechanical experience is a plus. Previous industrial fabrication experience is required, the ideal candidate for this role is a certified structural welder.

Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (+ early starts, off shift work, and OT as dictated by the position).
Tasks/Requirements:
* Abide by all company and departmental policies.
* Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
* Attend and contribute during weekly department meetings.
* Communicate with the Project Coordination and Production Scheduling to address scheduling concerns and equipment needs.
* Complete inspections and repairs on lifting assets sent to the YorkHoist shop.
* Do whatever it takes to ensure safety and client satisfaction every job, every time.
* Ensure quality and accuracy of welds by conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments to welding parameters.
* Log time, consumables, materials, and equipment for orders in the ERP system.
* Manage your aggressive project deadlines while providing quality products and services.
* Minimum 2 years of Mig and Stick welding experience required.
* Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment during assembly.
* Own and influence positive department morale and client first mindset within your team.
* Own safety ensuring compliance with HCRBrands and OSHA/ANSI requirements.
* Perform advanced welding tasks as assigned.
* Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting as required.
* Read, interpret, and execute fabrication/shop drawings in accordance with company policy and project specifications.
* Regularly lift, move, or hold items weighing 80lbs. or more.
* Setup and operate welding machines, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues (hoists, cranes, lifts, turners, etc.).
* Weld in all positions.
* Work well both individually and with other fabricators/technicians.
* Certified crane operator training (a plus).
* Electrical and control experience (a plus).
* Certified rigger (a plus).
* Hydraulic troubleshooting experience (a plus).
* OSHA 10 Hour training (a plus).
* OSHA 30 Hour training (a plus).
* Tig welding experience (a plus).
