As a Personal Assistant to the Head Teacher no two days will be the same, you will be providing highly effective, professional, secretarial, administrative and organisational support to the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team. You will need to be an energetic communicator with excellent engagement and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, parent/carers and professionals. You will be committed to enhancing the lives of children and young people. You will also need to be emotionally resilient and be able to maintain a professional relationship with those that we support. We are looking for an experienced individual who possesses effective communication skills. The role will involve the following: acting as the first point of contact for the Head Teacher, ensuring all visitors and callers receive a professional response and are dealt with by the appropriate person demonstrate confidentiality, discretion and professionalism at all times liaise daily with the head teacher regarding the events of the day/week/term, head teacher diary keeping manage and efficiently plan the head teacher’s diary and appointments ensuring effective use is made of the head teacher’s time, taking initiative to reduce the Head Teacher’s involvement in routine matters regularly update the head teacher on key issues, communications take minutes of confidential meetings track and ensure compliance with school policies access a variety of data bases and platforms and provide summaries as required A willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for working with young people are essential as well as an approachable and professional manner. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with many interruptions.
