Key Responsibilities/Task:
* Preparing tenders, estimates and cost plans all while meeting the clients timeframes
* Understanding architect drawings/specifications
* Preparation of costs sheets, including quantity take-offs, and the completion of project BOQ
* Final submission of the project estimate and supporting documentation
* Develop relationships with suppliers in order to assist with cost requirements.
* Identifying value engineering opportunities in order to keep quotes competitive.
* Managing your time in such a way that you meet agreed deadlines.
* Communicating with clients on tender status.
* The responsibility of presenting project handover meetings.
* Maintain accurate information regarding suppliers, sub-contractors & clients.
* Working closely with the design team to navigate any flaws/improvements and assist with potential solutions.
* Regular communication with company quantity surveyors to ensure the project remains efficient and cost effective.
To be considered for this role you will require:
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (to include English & Maths).
* At least 3 years relevant experience in the construction industry
* Excellent numerical and literacy skills.
* Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft library (Word, Excel etc).
* Excellent level of attention to details and organisational skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines and provide a high standard of work while doing so.
