General Ledger Accountant role involves managing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Controlling and managing the accuracy of General Ledger for assigned companies.
* Completing month-end financial close procedures, including accruals and prepayments.
* Preparing internal reports for Europe and US head office.
* Facilitating restructuring accounting and control.
* Carrying out Sarbanes Oxley controls.
* Managing hedging and revaluation.
* Providing headcount reporting, control, and forecasting support.
* Preparing statutory accounting and corporation tax work.
* Conducting statutory/corporate reconciliations and European consolidation.
* Controlling and preparing VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List Reporting.
* Supporting audit work.
* Managing the fixed asset register and accounting.
* Preparing variance analysis.
* Supporting other accountants on various tasks.
* Developing new processes and procedures within the accounting team.
* Providing support and assistance to the Accounting Manager.
We are looking for a candidate with:
* 5+ years of experience in all-round accounting.
* Good knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes.
* Fluent English language skills.
* Experience with accruals, prepayments, VAT, balance sheet reconciliation.
* Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
* Results-driven attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Task prioritization skills.
