Hales Group are thrilled to be working with our client who are seeking a Funding Officer to support them on a temporary basis until July 2025. Funding Officer duties will include: • Work with key managers to manage and oversee funding processes. • Check documentation to identify those eligible for different funding streams, ensuring claims are correctly prepared, processed, and tracked. • Keep in regular contact with stakeholders to make sure claims are accurate, follow up on missing information, and attend relevant meetings. • Make sure invoices and supporting documents are submitted on time as agreed. • Keep track of attendance and participation to ensure all funding conditions are met. • Keep clear and accurate records to support claims, working with internal and external auditors when needed. • Provide managers with regular updates on claim progress and expected revenue. • Work with the data team to make sure funding information is recorded correctly. • Help plan budgets by working with key teams to estimate funding needs based on expected intake. • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders to improve engagement and service quality. • Support an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. • Help ensure the well-being and safety of individuals. • Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the role. The successful Funding Officer will have demonstrable experience of the following: • Experience in a funding role within Education or Public Sector. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas. • Good experience in using databases. • High level of accuracy with numbers and financial data. • Ability to complete spreadsheet exercises and explain data verbally. • Knowledge of education funding or a similar field. • Motivated by delivering excellent customer service. • Proactive in finding solutions to challenges. • Able to think creatively when handling funding matters and use initiative. • Confident in advising colleagues and departments on funding.
