Fife the Unit Manager is to be responsible for the health and welfare of, and maximise production from, a Sofina Foods commercial breeding herd using the standards set out by the Company in the policy and procedure manual. Salary £35,000 Manage daily routines, including feeding, bedding, and livestock care, following the procedure manual. Adopt and implement new plans as directed by the Area Manager and Breeding Herd Manager. Plan staff holidays and weekend shifts, ensuring full cover by coordinating with the Area Manager. Work with the Area Manager to maintain biosecurity and protect herd health. Ensure all husbandry tasks follow the procedure manual. Oversee and manage vaccination and medication programs. Monitor animal health and report any welfare concerns to the Area Manager and Management. Ensure the unit has enough feed, straw, and AI weekly, and maintain an effective water system. Keep the unit in good condition, meeting maintenance standards, including routine tasks and fence repairs. Previous experience working with livestock is desirable.
